An adaptation of an animal is a feature that a certain feature of an animal that allows it to live in a certain area. The ears of the German Sheppard is an evolutionary adaptation that allows them to stay clear of danger and also helps them in hunting. Without these big ears, and thus better hearing, the Sheppard ancestor would have been killed off.
