(#4) This is a picture of an amniotic egg, in the amniotic egg there is an embryo. The embryo will develop with an amnion, which is the membrane that surrounds the
embryo. Different materials make up the shells of amniotic eggs it is either a calcium based shell like this one or sometimes a leathery one. (#5) An analogous structure is when something is the same if cut in half the 2 sides are symetrical. The green leaves of this plant are analogous and if they are cut inhalf one side will resemble the other.
(#6) This rose is an example of an angiosperm, it falls under the wide umbrella of angiosperms. An angiosperm is defined as devolping in an ovary and most angiosperms produce flowers like the rose shown here.
(#8)These are pictures,(one for a decent look, & one to prove I took it), of a spider also known as an arachnid. An arachnid can be defined as having jointed legs(typically 8) with 3 main body sections.
(#9) An organism similar in size and structure is archaebacteria, even though they differ in molecular structure. The differences allow archaebacteria to be used in medical ointments like the one shown above.
(#10) An organism that typically has jointed arms/legs and an exoskeleton with segmented sections is defined as an arthropod. These crabs are a good examples of arthropods.
(#13) Bryophytes are novscular plants that spread through spores instead of seeds and flowers. The byrophytes have taken over this old brick that was laying in the yard.
(#18) Monocots have straight parallel leaves running in a straight line like this plant
Where a Dicot has leaves that tend to fan out into a more rounded shape in comparison to the monocot leaves. (couldn't get my in finger and get a good shot taken in my backyard)
(#20) A fungi is a decomposer ,that cannot make its own ATP through photosynthesis, so it must break down other things, mainly dead, to get its energy.
(#25)These are gymnosperm leaves from a Fir tree. Gymnosperms are defined as cone bearing plants and they characteristically have small pointed leaves like these here.
(#27) Lichens are organisms that are made uo of 1 things, fungi and a photosynthetic bacteria seen here growing on the fence.
(#30)This potato is a modified stem because the nutrients flow to the roots where the potato grows underground. This is different from the functions of a normal stem.
