Big idea one (1-20)

This chicken egg is an amniotic egg(#4). It allows the embryo to continue growing outside of the mother. It contains nutrients needed to allow the egg to grow and the unborn animal(a chicken in this case).
The orange tree in the picture is an example of an Angiosperm(#6) A flowering plant that houses its seed inside fruit. this orange tree houses its seeds in the oranges it bears.
The cob webs above are a great example of an arachnid(#8) The cob webs show that a spider(arachnid) had once used this area as its home. An arachnid is an animal with eight legs and the body divided into two sections.
The crab in this picture is an example of an arthropod(#10)  An arthropod is an animal with jointed  appendages and an exoskeleton.
My adorable dog is an example of artificial selection(#11) she is an example because she was breed to have such short legs, so that way when she would herd the sheep they couldn't kick her.
This picture is of bilateral symmetry(#12) because if you were to cut the geese in half starting from the head and ending with the tail it would look the same on both sides.

This picture is an example of a bryophyte(#13) it doesn't reproduce with seeds, but with spores. it's usually very short and grows in clumps. i found this on my front steps.

This Mouse is an example a chordate(#14)  A cordate is an animal that has or had a nerve cord.
this yogurt is an example of eubacteria(#19) eubacteria are the types of bacteria you would think of. the ones found on your kitchen counter or on a rock. they are also found in yogurt which helps you to digest your food because of bacteria.
This picture is of Fungi(#20) fungus has its own kingdom because it has cell walls, but lacks chloroplast. it is a decomposer. this is fungus on the trunk of a tree near the American river.

These snails are an example of a gastropod(#21) a gastropod usually has a shell, but doesn't have to. For example the slug and has a single foot for locomotion.
These fish are examples of gnathostomes(#23) a gnathostome has a lower and upper jaw. they make up 99% of vertebrates. These fish do have jaws.
This pine cone is an example of a gymnosperm cone(#24)  gymnosperm cones are the seeds for  a gymnosperm tree. which means that the seed are unprotected and hang on the branch. this cone is an example.
this picture is an example of gymnosperm leaves(#25) the leaves can last for more than one season or  only one season. they are simple usually they are either scale-like or needle-like. these in the picture are needle-like and are from a blur spruce.
This picture is an example of lichens(#27) Lichen is a partnership between fungus and  cyanobacteria. it can be found on trees, and rocks, and pretty much anywhere. i found this on a tree near the bank of the American river.
this picture is an example of a modified root(#29) this is a potato which  is a modified root because it allows the plant to store nutrients.
This picture is an example of a modified stem(#30) this picture show how the stem of this plant wove its way around the metal figure in its pot.
This picture is an example of a seedless vascular plant(#38) instead of having seeds this plant has spores on the bottom of the leaves as shown.
This picture shows a tetrapod(#39) A tetrapod is an animal that walks on four legs. this sleeping cats walk on four legs when awake.
This picture is an example of unicellular organism(s)(#40) in this standing water there would be billions of unicellular organisms. unicellular means consisting of only one cell. Of these would be amoebas and eubacteria,
