Big Idea 2, #12-13. Endothermy and Ectothermy. Endothermy is the process of maintaining a homeostatic internal temperature through heat released by internal metabolic processes. This Conure is an endothermic animal, because it maintains its body temperature through internal processes. Ectothermy is the regulation of body with outside sources. This Uromastyx does this by basking in the sun to warm up.
