Big Idea 2-3

3) ATP- adenosine triphosphate is the main energy molecule in organisms. It is very unstable and doesn't last long, so it is stored as carbohydrates or lipids. Organic compounds like carbohydrates and lipids are broken down and used to synthesize ATP. Without it organisms wouldn't have the energy to survive. The image I took is of blue parakeets flying off of wood, eating, and searching for food bits. This represents ATP because every action an organism performs requires the use of energy. When the bird flew it used the energy found in ATP to start the process.
