Big Idea 2-1


1) Adhesion of Water- a property of water. It is water's to stick to other substances. This property allows water to travel up a straw or up the xylem of a plant. Because of the hydrogen bonds and water's property of adhesion, water can stick to a wall or mirror, like in the image above. Cohesion also allows the water to stay clumped together in separate little clumps.
