Big Idea 2: Term 22

Hypotonic: If a solution is hypotonic compared to another solution, 
then it has a smaller concentration of whatever molecule is being 
compared. For instance, in this picture, the leaf is hypotonic 
in terms of NaCl compared to the water solution it is in, 
which contains more salt that has been dissolved.
