#49) Big Idea 3 Term 18: Prokaryote

The gell-like stuff above is a en vitro solution that holds all the essential nutrients for life. The reason it is a murky brown is that many bacteria are thriving in it. They are all prokaryotic organisms in that they all are smaller than eukaryotes, they have cell walls built of peptidoglycan, they have no organelles, and they have no defined nucleus.
