Big Idea 3: #6


6. Haploid refers to cells which have only one set of DNA instead of the normal two. Haploid cells are created from meiosis. The advantage of having haploid cell is it allows for independent assortment when they combine to form a diploid cell. This Gare Orange plant has haploid cells which are federalized in order to reproduce.
