11. K-strategist: The K-strategy refers to the ecological strategy have adopted when producing offspring. K-strategy tends to involve more quality vs quantity. Most K-strategists tend to have a longer lifespan so as a result, the energy to produce offspring is high, the output of offspring is low, the size of the offspring is larger, the offspring mature later (after varying years of parental care), and life expectancy is generally higher. The chimpanzee in the photo is a k-strategist.
