11.artificial selection: Artificial selection is the process by which humans breed other animals and plants for certain, desirable traits. Store-bought mice are an example of artificial selection. These mice have been bred in order to obtain traits that are desirable in a pet. Traits such as a gentle demeanor and duller teeth are focused on during artificial selection.
