the nothing is happening to the tree.
)Competition: Competition is a relationship between two organisms of the same species, called intraspecific, or two organisms of different species, called interspecific, compete for resources or land. There is competition between the clovers on the ground and the grass that is starting to die out because there is too many clovers.
)Endosperm: An endosperm is the part of the flower that contains the nutrients for the developing embryo and usually contains protein and starch. Flowering plants contain the necessary nutrients in the endosperm of the plant.
)Introduced Species: An introduced species is a species that was not originally in a community, but an organism brought it to that area and will usually make a difference for the existing plants and animals. These onions were introduced to this area and actually killed off some of the current species of grass.
)K-Strategist: A K-strategist is a species that tries to survive by producing few offspring. They are usually bigger organisms and spend a long time helping their offspring mature. Horses are K-strategist because they normally produce only one foal at a time and spend almost a full year taking care of them.
)Mutualism: Mutualism is a relationship between two plants or organisms in which both species benefit from the relationship. This ladybug is in a multiple mutualistic relationship with all of the roses in the area because it gets food while eating the aphids that are attracted to the roses, and the roses don't have aphids to feed off of them.
)Population: A population is all of the combined organisms in a specific area that are all in relationship with each other. This picture of the chickens is a population because it shows every chicken in the area.
)Predation: Predation is the relationship between two organisms in which one kills the other being the predator and prey respectively. This picture of a cougar stalking a mountain lion is predation because the cougar is the predator and the mountain goat is the prey.
)R-Strategist: A R-strategist is an organism that has large offspring and generally does not spend that much time on each specific baby, and the mother sometimes even dies after giving birth. R-Strategists are generally smaller organisms because they are easy prey for larger animals, so they need large offspring to make sure at least some of them survive. Rabbits are R-strategist because they have up to 10 offspring at a time and reproduce up to once a month.
