this picture demonstrates/represents a fungi, which is a decomposer. It is a eukaryotic organism, contains chitin( similar to cellulose, chapter 29), and interestingly are mainly within the host organism and are only seen by us when they flower, producing mushrooms. They are important in nutrient cycling and can be eaten but taste gross. This picture shows a common and edible mushroom cut-away. Within can be seen the stem, cap, and gilis.

ReplyDeleteI'm checking a few different computers and I'm not seeing a picture for any of these. Perhaps it's just me. Does anyone else see pictures? Also, you can post multiple in the same post and that will be fine, too. Include the item number you are covering with each submission.
