Big Idea 2


30. phloem: The phloem is one of the types of tissue found in vascular systems. The phloem moves sucrose and hormones throughout the whole plant. The phloem can be found in the stems. The phloem takes the energy made in the leaves and transports it to all parts of the plant. The pine tree in the picture is a good example because it has phloem in its branches to transport the nutrients all throughout the plant.
