Big Idea 2


#15. Hydrophobic: If a substance is hydrophobic it will not dissolve in water and can not pass through a place that is hydrophilic. This is a picture of a glass of pure water with olive oil. As you can see the olive oil does not dissolve its stays at the top of the water; therefore, it is hydrophobic.
