The coconut is a very large seed dispersal unit for coconut palms, often grouped with other palms as palm trees. The coconut contains the seed for the new coconut palm, and can withstand days at sea and numerous impacts while still being able to germinate. I did not, it should be noted, put a lime in the coconut and drink it all up.
