7. genetically modified organism: an organism that has been artificially modified to meet the needs or pleasure of humans. Here you can see that stormtrooper is riding on a banana. Bananas are a great example of GMOs because their traits are modified greatly from their original version. Originally bananas were tough, seedy, and small. After lots of modifying we get the current day banana.
