39. tetrapod: Tetrapods are vertebrates who have four limbs or have had evolutionary ancestors who were four-limbed. Even vertebrates such as whales and snakes are considered tetrapods due to their four-limbed ancestry. The Eastern Bongo in the picture walks on four legs and is a vertebrate which makes it a tetrapod.
