Nepenthes Sanguinea (depicted above) is a pitcher plant from the island of Borneo. It grown where the soil quality is very poor so it adapted to its environment by producing pitchers that contain a liquid filled with enzymes that break down the bodies of insects and small rodents that fall into the pitchers.
