Big Idea 1: Term 14
Chordate:
All chordates have, at some point in their
lives, a notochord (followed by a vertebrae column),
a dorsal nerve cord (spinal cord), pharyngeal slits
(gills), and a tail. This coonhound is just one of many
examples of chordates.
