20. fungi: Fungi are eukaryotic organisms that are in a different kingdom than plants, animals, protists, and bacteria. The cell walls of a fungus contain chitin, rather than cellulose like plants. Fungi do not produce their own nutrients, instead they gather nutrients from the decomposing organic matter around them. The Brown Clamshell mushrooms are examples of fungi.
