Endosperm: An endosoerm is the tissue that surrounds the seeds in flowering plants. It provides the seed with nutrients so it can develop into a plant. This rose's seeds will contain an endosperm that will surround the germ of its seeds.

Intoduced Species: An introduced species is not native and does not occur naturally in a given area but grows there now because it has been brought there from somewhere else. Its introduction is due to human activity which brings it outside its natural habitat. This palm tree is not native to Northern California and was brought here due to human actions.

K-strategist: K-strategist are animals that have longer lifespans and invest more time in their offspring than r-strategists do. K-strategists also learn how to live and reproduce from their parents and are helpless until they reach adulthood. This deer fits all the requirements of a k-strategist.

Organisms
on different levels of the same food chain: A food chain is a group of animals
that live in the same ecological community with each feeding on the one below
it in the chain. Grass is the autotroph, the zebra is the herbivore, the lion
is the primary consumer, and the vulture is the detritivore.

Population: A population is a group of the same species that live in a certain place. The population interacts with and breeds just with the members of the population to the point where they become interbred. Theses turkeys are part of the population that live inside Ancil Hoffman Park.
19.
Predation: Predation is a relationship in which one animal, the predator, feeds off another, the prey. The two animals will coevolve with each other and their populations will rise and fall based on the status of the other. This owl is a predator that will hunt and feed on mice and other animals.
20.
R-strategist: A r-strategist is an animal that produce many offspring which have both a short lifespan and maturation period. These offspring have a high mortality rate and recieve little care from their parents instead inheriting behaviors through genes. This cricket has many offspring at one time, doesn't invest parental time, and has a short lifespan.
